Luna Fashion House Spring is the curated seasonal collection for March through May dressing. The collection serves women over forty who need a transitional wardrobe covering the temperature range from 50 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit, with palette and fabric shifts from winter to summer.
Three season-specific principles drive the selection. Lighter fabrics and palettes: the Jody lace pieces in ivory and bordeaux carry the bridge from winter into spring. The Jody lace a-line dress in ivory and the Jody tailored lace blazer in ivory work for spring weddings and milestone events. Daytime and outdoor dressing: the Charlotte elegant midi dress in fuchsia, the Amanda midi dress in floral, and the Julia navy and white floral midi dress work for outdoor daytime contexts. Light-coat layering for cooler mornings: the Emma light coat with teal floral jacquard and the Iris short tailored coat in beige cover the 50 to 65 degree morning range that warms to 70 by afternoon.
Spring also covers the early outdoor wedding season. Garden and outdoor ceremonies in April and May favor the Julia floral, the Amanda floral, and the Iris a-line midi dress in blush floral for daytime guest dressing. For evening receptions in cooler April climates, the Jody lace cocktail dress in ivory or bordeaux carries enough weight to read appropriate to the indoor venue.
Construction follows the Luna atelier standards at Pozarevac, Serbia. Lighter linings on spring pieces; cotton blends and refined jacquards from European mills. Sizes XS to 3XL.
For a spring capsule: build one light coat (Emma or Iris), two daytime midi dresses (one floral, one solid), one evening lace piece (Jody capsule), and one transitional knit cardigan. Continue reading: Wedding edit, The transitional edit, Summer.
