Most guests spend weeks on the dress and choose the coat in the hallway on the way out. We make both, so each pair below is matched by where the hems fall in our product photos.

• A cocktail reception suits the Jody Lace Cocktail Dress in Bordeaux ($550) under the Emma Light Coat in Silver Floral Jacquard ($880). Both end at the knee. The outfit is $1,430.
• For black tie, put the Isidora Long Textured Coat in Mocha ($680) over the Bruna Long Lace Gown in Beige ($595). The coat reaches mid calf and stays in the same warm taupe as the lace. We make both pieces in the Luna atelier in Pozarevac, and the outfit is $1,275.
• When the skirt should be seen, the Rina Red Floral Maxi Dress ($770) goes under the Selina Wool Cape in Black ($770). The cape is worn open and ends at the hip, so the embroidered skirt shows in full. The outfit is $1,540.
