Description

The Emma Light Coat with Silver Floral Jacquard is a luminous transitional coat in refined jacquard with metallic threads woven into silver floral patterns, finished with hidden press-button closure and self-tie belt at the natural waist. The piece is built for transitional weeks, restaurant arrivals, theater and gallery openings, and softer-occasion dressing where a wool coat reads too heavy.

Fabric
Refined jacquard with metallic threads (90 percent polyester, 10 percent metalized fibers) woven into silver floral patterns at the loom, finished with hidden press-button closure that preserves the clean minimalist line, self-tie belt, and tailored fit-and-flare silhouette. A jacquard pattern is constructed at the loom, woven into the fabric rather than printed; the Emma takes that construction one step further with metallic threads also woven in rather than surface-applied. The result is a silver floral pattern that shimmers softly under restaurant and event lighting and survives years of wear without flaking. Handcrafted in the Luna atelier in Pozarevac, Serbia, in limited batches. Designed in Europe. Ships from California.

Fit
The Emma runs to a fit-and-flare silhouette; most clients take their true size. Size up if you prefer additional ease through the bust or want to layer over a heavier piece. Hidden press-button closure, self-tie belt. Refer to the Luna sizing guide for measurements. Model is 5 foot 9 inches wearing size 3.

Styling
Over the Lucy Jacquard Midi Dress in Midnight Blue for fully coordinated jacquard-on-jacquard evening dressing where coat and dress share woven dimension.
Over the Aria Jumpsuit in Black for luminous-arrival evening dressing where the silver pattern reads against the architectural bodice.
Open over the Lucy Draped Blouse in Ivory and tailored taupe trousers for soft-formal daytime styling.
Or over the Mila Draped Midi Dress in Abstract Taupe for transitional travel-day dressing where the metallic threads catch restaurant light.
Carried with the Klara Structured Mini Handbag for theater and gallery arrivals where a compact bag balances the coat shimmer.
Or over the Iris Midi Dress in Lavender Mist for spring transitional dressing where silver bridges the cool-tone palette.
Coordinate metal tone consistently: silver is the cross-palette neutral metallic and pairs with both white-gold and yellow-gold accessories; pearl reads modern and luminous against the silver floral.

Care
Refined jacquard with metallic threads (90 percent polyester, 10 percent metalized fibers). May be gently hand-washed in cold water. Professional dry cleaning recommended for the finest results. Do not tumble dry; lay flat or hang to preserve fabric shape. Iron or steam at low temperature only. Do not bleach. Mill-woven metallic threads do not flake or fade under normal wear. Hang on a wide padded hanger; cedar bags during summer storage.

What justifies the price for a lightweight coat?
Three layered investments. First, mill-woven metallic-thread jacquard is one of the most expensive fabric categories produced. The pattern AND the metallic shimmer are both woven into the fabric at the loom; the loom must be configured for both pattern weaving and metallic-thread integration, which doubles production complexity per yard. Second, lightweight transitional construction is technically harder than winter-weight construction because the fabric must hold tailored silhouette without weight to support it. Third, the construction details (self-tie belt, hidden press button closure, fully tailored silhouette) each add atelier hours. The price reflects fabric cost plus hand-construction hours plus limited batch production.
What is metallic-thread jacquard and why does it matter?
Metallic-thread jacquard is fabric where both the pattern and the metallic shimmer are woven into the fabric at the loom. The metallic threads are constructed into the weave, not printed or foiled on top. This matters because surface-applied metallic flakes off with friction and dry cleaning within 30 to 50 wearings; mill-woven metallic threads survive years of wear because the shimmer is structural rather than surface-level.
Why silver instead of teal?
Cross-palette versatility. Silver is the metallic that pairs with both cool and warm-tone wardrobes, both white-gold and yellow-gold accessories, both jewel-tone and neutral palettes. Teal commits to cooler tones and jewel-tone evening contexts. Choose silver if your wardrobe spans warm and cool tones; choose teal if your wardrobe runs on jewel tones and your accessories run on cognac and oxblood.
Is this a winter coat?
No. The Emma is a lightweight transitional coat designed for spring, fall, and mild winter weather. For true winter weather see the Nicole Wool Wrap Coats, Lucy Wool Coats with Fur Collar, or Selina Wool Cape.
Will the metallic threads tarnish or flake?
No. Mill-woven metallic threads are structural rather than surface-applied; they do not flake, tarnish, or fade under normal wear. Hand-wash cold or dry clean to preserve.
How should I size?
European-inspired fit; most clients size down one. The self-tie belt gives adjustability.
What is the return policy?
A 14-day return window applies.
