Description

The Rea Jacquard Trench Coat in Beige is a wool-viscose jacquard trench at 340 grams per square meter with the heritage 1879 trench architecture preserved in full: storm flap, gun flap, raglan sleeves, D-ring belt, double-breasted closure, and inverted back pleat. The piece is built for spring and fall transitional weeks, daily executive wear in moderate climates, business travel, and softer-occasion ceremonies.

Fabric
Wool-viscose woven jacquard at 340 grams per square meter, finished with storm flap, gun flap, raglan sleeves, D-ring belt, double-breasted closure, and inverted back pleat. A jacquard pattern is constructed at the loom, woven into the fabric rather than printed on top, which means the pattern survives the years of wear that printed coats do not. The Rea pairs that woven dimension with the heritage 1879 trench architecture for a coat that reads as more than a daily-driver but less than a statement piece. The woven jacquard mill production takes longer than plain-weave fabric and costs more per yard. Handcrafted in the Luna atelier in Pozarevac, Serbia, in limited batches. Designed in Europe. Ships from California.

Fit
The Rea runs to a fit-and-flare trench silhouette. For a defined waist, tie the D-ring belt at the natural waist. Between sizes, take the smaller. Double-breasted closure, raglan sleeves. Refer to the Luna sizing guide for measurements. Model is 5 foot 9 inches wearing size 3.

Styling
Over the Mila Draped Midi Dress in Abstract Taupe for fully coordinated warm-palette transitional dressing where coat and dress share tonal beige-and-taupe depth.
Open over the Lucy Draped Blouse in Ivory tucked into tailored beige trousers for soft-formal daytime styling.
With the Barbara Wide-Leg Pants in Black and the Barbara Button Wrap Shirt in Classic White for warm-cool executive contrast at restaurant arrivals.
Carried with the Melissa Structured Shoulder Bag for business travel where a structured shoulder bag balances the trench line.
Or over the Aria Short-Sleeve Blouse in Ivory and tailored taupe trousers for tonal soft-formal warm-weather styling.
With the Agatha High-Waisted Wide-Leg Pants in Ivory for tonal cream-and-beige executive daily dressing.
Coordinate metal tone consistently: gold and pearl read warm and traditional against the woven beige jacquard; silver shifts the look modern and editorial.

Care
Viscose-cotton woven jacquard at 340 grams per square meter. Brush after every wear, especially after rain. Dry clean once per season. Hang on a wide padded hanger to preserve the trench silhouette. Cedar bags during summer storage. Iron at low temperature only if needed. Do not bleach.

Why is the price higher than a plain wool trench?
Woven jacquard production. The pattern is constructed at the loom, which means the mill configures the loom for pattern weaving rather than flat fabric. This takes longer per yard, costs more per yard, and produces a fabric where the pattern is structural rather than surface-level. The Rea is the only jacquard trench in our line, and the price reflects the jacquard mill production alongside the heritage trench architecture and atelier construction hours.
Is the jacquard pattern woven or printed?
Woven. The pattern is constructed at the loom, not heat-pressed onto plain fabric. Woven jacquards hold across years of wear; printed patterns begin fading within 30 to 50 wearings. This is the construction detail that separates investment outerwear from fast fashion and what distinguishes the Rea from cheaper jacquard-look coats.
How is this different from the Clara Wool Trench Coat in Navy Blue?
Weight, color, fabric construction. Clara is 420 g/m² wool blend (winter weight, plain navy, all-weather construction). Rea is 340 g/m² wool-viscose jacquard (transitional weight, woven beige jacquard, softer occasion-piece). Choose Clara for daily winter wear in rainy regions; choose Rea for transitional weeks and softer occasions where the texture earns the photograph.
Is this water-resistant?
Light water-resistant. The wool-viscose jacquard handles drizzle and mist. For heavy rain, layer with an umbrella. Re-waterproof every 18 to 24 months at a wool-trench-capable tailor.
Why beige instead of navy or black?
Beige is the warm-palette neutral for the woman whose closet is built on warm tones. The tonal beige-on-beige jacquard adds dimensional warmth without crossing into print territory. Choose beige if your wardrobe runs on taupe, cream, ivory, brown, oxblood; choose Clara Navy if your wardrobe runs on cool tones (gray, white, navy, deep colors).
How should I size?
European-inspired fit; most clients size down one. The inverted back pleat and raglan sleeves give natural layering ease.
What is the return policy?
A 14-day return window applies.
