The Lucy Wool Coat with Fur Collar in Red is a long-fiber wool coat in deep red, double-breasted, fitted through the waist with a skirt that flares to the knee, with a detachable faux fur collar in tonal red finished with pompom ties and a full Bemberg lining. It is the arrival coat for the holiday and gala calendar: the weight of the wool and the tailored construction make the arrival the photograph of the evening.

Long-fiber wool at 460 grams per square meter, handcrafted in the Luna atelier in Pozarevac, Serbia. The 460 GSM weight gives the coat the body to hold a tailored silhouette through arrival, cocktail hour, and coat check. The deep red is set through a dye process tested for fade resistance across 300+ wearings. The detachable faux fur collar in tonal red fastens with concealed snaps; take it off and the coat softens into a red wool coat for the working day. Full Bemberg lining at the body and sleeves with hand-finished interior seams.

Fit
True to size, with a shoulder cut precisely enough to sit cleanly over a tailored blazer or a structured evening dress. The body fits comfortably over a knit or blouse under a blazer. The sleeve clears a blazer cuff by 1/2 inch. The hem sits at or just below the knee. Between sizes, choose the smaller for a closer line or the larger for more room to layer. Is the fur real or faux?
Faux. We do not use animal fur in our line. The collar is a dense synthetic that photographs like mink at conversational distance and comes off with concealed snaps for cleaning and for a different look.
How saturated is the red?
A deep red between true red and burgundy, leaning warm. The dye process is held at temperature for six hours to set the color across 300+ wearings without fade.
Can I wear this without the collar?
Yes. The detachable collar gives you two coats in one. Without it, the Lucy reads as a red wool coat for the working day and pairs with executive pieces. With it, the coat belongs to the formal evening.
How is this different from the Lucy in Black?
